There is currently no interest in releasing on pressed CDs or vinyl. Packaging concepts are unique for each release or series, and include: CDs glued between pages of random defaced books CDs placed inside hand-colored tiny pillows filled with unwrapped snack foods and sewn totally shut ziploc bags containing an original activity placemat, a crayon, a condiment, a floppy diskette, and two black-bottomed CDs in a spatula-fried clamshell case mini-CDs inside hand-silkscreened invitation envelopes and many other great ideas. While mostly a small-run (1-100) CDR label, works have also been released on VHS, audio cassette, dubbed-over audio cassette, data DVD-R, mini-CDR, VCD, and floppy diskette. Founded in late 2002 by Blanche Braden, a small brown cat, Cat Jams concentrates on rule-based and outsider music.
